Another one from the archive. This is 'Sneakweed', One of the mischievous garden goblins. He is bringing Japanese knot-weed to plant in the garden. I love the photo with my son Harry peeking over the plinth!
Today I met with police who had just raided a flat in Wantage.
VROOM IS RETURNED! :-)
A life study. I am regularly asked how I get my goblins to look so life-like. The answer is that it is not possible to invent convincing human-like characters without first spending a lot of time studying humans.
Another old favourite, 'The Drinker'. The original bowl had to be replaced, first with a shell and then with a leaf, because the water flowed down his arm and off his elbow.
Delving even further back into my archive now! 1989 at Madame Tussauds. My portrait of Yasser Arafat, from a sitting held at 3am in a PLO safe-house in Tunis. The chap with the gun was one of his security guards.
This was the sculpture that started my goblin collection! 'Snailmaker'. I created this intending it to be a one off project, just for myself. I had no idea what it would lead to.
My Sister-in-law Nikki was designing a garden for Chelsea Flower Show and asked if she could borrow it. It got a lot of TV coverage and people started calling and asking if they could buy it.
Please would you help me by posting this on your facebook page or sending it in an email? Many thanks.
If you have sent me a message and not received an answer, it's likely that you made a typo when entering your email address. I have had several email delivery failures recently. I wouldn't want anyone to think I'm ignoring them. If you haven't heard from me, please try again or email me at info(at)david-goode.com. Thanks.
Destruction of seized cheap Chinese brass copies of my sculptures. Thanks to Nigel Davis Solicitors.
Another Isabel's Goblin miniature arrives at his new home! (Thanks to Cliff and Liz for the photos)

Here is a blog entry from a customer. It reminded me how privileged I am to do what I do.
